NfET Code of Practice for Learning
The purpose of this Code of Practice is to ensure there are appropriate standards in the way Nfet personnel and students conduct themselves throughout the learning process. It is the responsibility of all those involved in the learning process to contribute to a good working atmosphere and a positive climate which is conducive to learning and enquiry.
This Code of Practice is designed to set minimum standards of conduct:

Nfet will support the individual to make the correct and appropriate choices in respect of specific learning requirements and access to appropriate provision - signposting where necessary to other providers

Nfet will supply additional learning support where there is a need in order to facilitate the learners journey and achievement
- The relationship between Nfet personnel and learner should be one of mutual respect
- Nfet personnel should show their respect for learners by maintaining a positive learning environment with plenty of encouragement, listening to the learner's point of view and being courteous at all times
- Nfet personnel and learners are expected to familiarise themselves with Nfet Key Policy Statements (listed on our website www.nfet.co.uk)
- Nfet personnel and learners are expected to familiarise themselves with policies or procedures of employers / owners of premises they are working at or visiting
- All Nfet personnel and learners must comply with Nfet’s Health and Safety policy requirements and shall not interfere with equipment provided by Nfet for safety purposes
- No Nfet personnel or learners will knowingly forge, falsify or misuse any documents or records
- Learners will not plagiarise/copy any work relating to NVQ course work or course assignments
- Learners will not engage in conduct, which disrupts teaching, learning or discussion within the learning environment
- Nfet personnel and learners should not interfere or attempt to obstruct any person or employee within a work place whilst they are carrying out their normal duties
- Learners are required to attend all training days and/or workshops in line with their Individual Learning Plan requirements
- Nfet personnel and learners will agree pre-arranged appointments for NVQ assessment visits - At least 24hrs notice should be given in the event the appointment needs to be cancelled
